What material are the frames made of?

The frame is made of premium mdf wood and the cover is made of plastic, which protect kids from glass broken. The light weight make it easier to change artwork. They can just do it themselves!

Can this be hung horizontal?

Yes, the art frame is designed with the same distance hanging hook to ensure that you can easily hang it horizontally or vertically without re-drilling.

How to fix the artwork?

The frame is structured with 2 seperated parts to display and store artwork. For displaying, the front opening is equipped with a back to fix the artwork whether the paper is standard size / shpe or not. For storage, elastic band can fix much paper.

Does the frame come with a mat, and what is the size displayed inside the mat if so?

Yes, the frame is equipped with a mat, perfect for artwork 8.5x11 with mat or 10x12.5 without mat. You can decide whether use the mat or not. Please note: the actual front opening is 8x10.5 which is slightly shorter than the picture.
